Buying NFTs Could Get Easier

To view this email as a web page, click here.         ICYMI: Soon you'll be able to buy NFTs with a credit card In case you missed it, Mastercard is partnering with Coinbase, an online cryptocurrency exchange platform, to allow customers to buy non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with a regular debit or credit card.    Normally if you want to buy an NFT, you would first need to open up a cryptocurrency wallet and pay for it with Ethereum. But with this new partnership, you'll be able to use your regular credit or debit card so you can pay with plain old U.S. dollars. (Quick refresher: An NFT is a unique digital asset on a blockchain, and just about anything can become an NFT—a piece of art, sports memorabilia, or even a tweet.) NFTs have become immensely popular, with users spending over $44.2 billion on cryptocurrency contracts associated with NTFs in 2021, according to a recent report by blockchain research firm Chainalysis.
